We at the National Videogame Museum have been paying very close attention to the news recently, and have been following all governmental advice that has been passed on to us. Following the briefing from the Prime Minister, the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Adviser on Thursday 12 March, venues including our museum will continue to operate as normal.
Be assured: the safety of all our guests and staff is of paramount importance.
Upon review of our cleaning procedures, we have found they are more than adequate. This includes a deep and thorough clean by external cleaners twice a week. This is on top of hourly cleaning check ups that are done by our staff whenever we are open.
Should there be any changes to the current status, we will take account of any recommendations from the relevant authorities, and implement all appropriate instructions accordingly. Please do check the latest advice from the NHS for your own health and welfare.
We will also use this opportunity to remind you to follow standard good hygiene practice such as:
- Cover your mouth and nose every time you cough or sneeze.
- Use a disposable tissue if possible and dispose of it in a bin
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water especially every time you cough or sneeze, or use an alcohol-based hand-sanitising product.
- Avoid touching your face with your hands If you have a general cough/cold, avoid close contact with others such as hugging or shaking hands
We want to reassure anybody that is planning on visiting us that we remain committed to welcoming you all to Play The Museum.
