Closed, for now.

The NVM will remain closed from December 2nd as Sheffield enters an increased Tier 3 lockdown.

After the announcement today (26th November 2020) that Sheffield will be placed into an increased Tier 3 lockdown, we can confirm that the Museum will not be able to reopen on 4th December as we had originally planned.

The safety of all of our visitors and staff is always our priority, so will continue to follow the scientific advice and guidance from the local council.

We await a review on the 16th December, so that we might reopen. If we are able to open before Christmas, we will be able to welcome you with our special Christmas exhibition – a videogame German Market!

In the meantime, please keep an eye out on our social feeds for any latest updates.

Despite being closed, we are still endeavouring to bring the museum to you! We will be running online workshops later in December for you all to take part in. These will all be accessible from the comfort of your own home, and completely free! More information to come shortly.

We’re also one of the supported causes in this month’s Jingle Jam! The largest gaming charity event in the world starts December 1st and runs until December 14th. Take a look at the Jingle Jam site for more information on how you can get involved.
