Our Collection
The National Videogame Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history and culture of videogames. We care for an extensive collection of over 5,000 objects, each meticulously curated to explore their significance within gaming culture and history, and to highlight their impact on both the industry and society.
The objects in our collection provide a unique insight into the evolution of videogames over the past 50 years, illustrating not only their technological advancements but also the cultural milestones they represent. The items on display in our gallery are just a small portion of the full collection, with much of the vital work taking place behind the scenes. Cataloguing and documenting our collection is a fundamental part of our operations, enabling us to conduct research, conservation, and develop exhibitions.
