Playfully titled a first person “shooter” on the game’s website, Viewfinder is a puzzle adventure game in which the player uses photos to explore, reshape landscapes and solve puzzles.
In Viewfinder, whilst navigating a strange new world, players can uncover its secrets and discover what its founders left behind, all achieved through the magic of photos. The player can bring photos to life by placing them in the world. This allows the player to explore environments to secrets, solve puzzles and find the answer to the impossible.
The game is developed by Sad Owl Studios which is a UK based game studio who were founded in 2021. The game takes inspiration from puzzle games like Portal 2 utilising puzzles and mind-bending ideas where the player can can bring pictures to life by placing them into the world.
