Videogames can be tough!

When someone tells you a videogame is difficult, what do you imagine it will be like? Do you think the mechanics will be demanding, the reaction times fast, or perhaps the story will be complicated? A game being “tough” can mean different things to different players.

The collection of games featured in our tough collection were made hard on purpose. Test your skills the next time you visit us!

A Tough Selection

These very difficult games were made tough on purpose. Sometimes tough games can make us frustrated, sad or even angry. But when we complete them, or “win,” the relief we feel can be an incredible contrast.

Tough games like Hexagon or Switch N Shoot can require us to be quick and have good observation. Games like QWOP require good patience and timing. And games like Perspective need us to think carefully and be good at seeing the bigger picture.

What kinds of games do you find hard to play?

Switch ‘N’ Shoot

Switch ‘N’ Shoot is inspired by classic space shooters like Galaga but with trickier controls to make it even harder.
