Mario Party 8

In Mario Party 8, up to four characters take turns playing board game stages and completing minigames to win coins and stars. Developed for the Wii, Mario Party 8 makes use of the console’s motion controls as a core element of its gameplay.

In keeping with the Carnival theme, the game introduced two new characters, MC Ballyhoo and his hat Big Top, as the hosts. It also brought in Candies as a new item which have various effects such as modifying dice rolls or how a character moves.
