Super Snowball Fight Party

Developed by: Joe Dickens
Released: 2016
Platform: Custom

Pelt your friends with snowballs to win! Ideal for 2-6 players. The games characters are Do!, Pop, Bub, Commando, Lex, and Jimjim. Can you guess who is who?

This is one of our proudest games that is exhibited in the museum’s Lab section. Not only is the game exclusive to play at the NVM, it was created by our very own Creative Engineer – Joe Dickens.

It is fair to say that it is one of our most popular games among visitors! It’s popularity is frequently mentioned in reviews and testimonials!

The game was created using GameMaker with no code or programming experience! All the sprite animation was done using a technique called rotoscoping.

The Super Snowball Fight Party table was created specially for the game using small arcade sticks and Arduinos, a small, easy to use open-source electronics platform.

With 6 players, there’s a whopping 38 inputs (6 X 6 buttons + start + reset) so it contains 2 Arduinos to cope with them all!
