Ideal for Home Education groups and families, a visit to the museum will bring groups of all ages on a journey exploring the history and culture of videogames. Learn more about the history of videogames by booking a Home Education visit.
For groups of 10 pupils or more, we offer educational workshops. Each workshop lasts for 1 hr and will be delivered by our team of Learning Facilitators at the museum. Your workshop booking also includes 1.5 hrs to explore our galleries and play games!
Workshops available include, Museum Makers, Build a Controller & Defeat the Aliens, Pixel Art & Designing Videogame Characters
For smaller groups and home education families a self-guided visit to the National Videogame Museum is a great way to support learning at home in a range of subjects, from computing, history or art and design. Take your time to play and explore our galleries in any of our general opening sessions throughout the week.
The museum is open from 13:00 – 16:00 on Thursdays and Fridays, or 10:00 – 13:00 and 14:00 – 17:00 on weekends, and throughout the school holidays.
