Facilities for Families

The National Videogame Museum is fully step-free. It is all on one floor, which means that the entire museum is accessible to parents bringing prams and buggies, making it a great choice for days out with toddlers.

Baby Changing facilities can be found within our accessible toilet, which is left open so no need to ask for a key.

Our toilet facilities are gender neutral – this means anyone can use them. Our 8 toilets are within private walled rooms that are doored from floor to ceiling and accompanied by a communal sink area.

We’re easy to find, located in Sheffield City Centre here in South Yorkshire, close to local shopping facilities and attractions such as the Winter Gardens and Kelham Island Museum, so you can plan a full day out with the family even on rainy days and school holidays.

Press Start!

We are a family-friendly venue, this means that the playable exhibits are always suitable for young people, making it a great family day out!

Videogames can be fun for all the family and an important tool to learn and play together. We have plenty of solo and multiplayer games in the museum to get you having fun as a family.
